Should I Drink Tea During a Walk? The Googled Answer

 


I was curious to know if it was OK to drink tea during my walks, so I looked it up on Google. 

In a nutshell, very well fit.com says that caffeine can enhance performance When walking, but at the same time, too much caffeine can cause jitters, distress, headaches, and more.

So? Should I drink tea during my walk? Well, I did a quick google search, and verywellfit.com popped up with a snippet.

They're basically saying that research has shown that caffeine during walks can enhance exercise and performance, but at the same time, too much caffeine can cause jitters and headaches.

Adding my two cents. I have walked many times with a hot cup of tea in a thermos, but I never walked longer than about 4 km or so. 

I try to keep my "tea/coffee walks" under an hour. Any walks longer than 4 km, I bring out the good old water.
