How often should I drink water on my long walks? Well, I wanted to know the answer, so I gave it a quick google search and a snippet from sharecare.com popped up.In a nutshell, they say walkers should drink a large glass of water about an hour before walking, then drink about a cup of water every mile or 1.6 kilometers or so.
When you finish walking you need to drink another glass of water.
Without this extra water, your muscles will become dehydrated.
Muscle movement depends on how hydrated you are.
I left a link to the main article above.

I have started to become a little bit more mindful of when to sip on water, so, according to this article, 1.6 km is optimal.
I'm also trying to take more breaks when I walk. I tend to walk away and forget about the time, not giving my body a chance to rest up.
