My Polygon Loop-Style Workout Resistance Bands Review

I was looking for something in between weights and basic push-ups, and resistance bands seem to be the answer.

The reason why I didn't get the tube-style bands is that these resistance bands had options for a handle, and I thought that was really convenient.

I did look at the reviews from Amazon Canada, and a few of them said they do snap, but I have not encountered that yet. This is a recent purchase, so we'll see what happens.

I'm an affiliate of Amazon. If you click through and make a purchase, I may receive a commission at no additional cost to you.

Now, going into the workout guide. It basically goes into a number of exercises you can do which include the lower body, trunk, and upper body. It also has a customer support email.

Later in the video, I go through how I put on the handles onto the resistance bands by simply looping the handle through, and making a very basic knot. One thing to note here, untieing the knot can be a struggle.

I then switch the camera over and go to my door, apply the door anchor onto the top of the door with the resistance band and handle.

I give the resistance band a little bit of a pull, and it seems like everything's okay.

So, coming out the gate my final thoughts are the bands are very durable, they do have a little bit of a smell from the factory, but that's the only issue I've seen so far.

Updates: Polygon Resistance Bands Review

January 18, 2022:

Hi all, in this video below, I talk a bit more about my experience on purchasing the resistance bands from Amazon Canada.

Polygon resistance bands review

January 2, 2022

Hi all, in the video below, I go over how things have been going with my Polygon resistance bands for about six months or so.

The first two bands, the red and black ones have given me enough resistance so far. I've had no need to go to the green and purple bands at this moment in time, but maybe things will change in the future. I'll keep you posted.

Using resistance bands with my bare hands was an issue. So, I had to buy some gloves to make things a little bit more comfortable.

The door anchor has held its instructional integrity.

The carrying case does fit some additional items such as the gloves that I purchased on top of the resistance bands, which is nice.

Pros After 3 Months: Polygon Resistance Bands Review (YouTube)

  • The polygon resistance bands are very compact. If I'm traveling or, not in my house, I can simply take them with me in the carrying case.

  • The resistance bands are made out of latex, and they have been durable and holding their resistance. I have had no major issues with any of the resistance bands snapping. I'm using them about three times a week.

  • I usually use the loop style bands without the handle attachment, and it's very fast to transition between exercises. I can add and decrease resistance simply by adjusting the resistance band length with my hands, which is really convenient.

Cons After 3 Months

  • I have limited space in my basement and for some exercises with these resistance bands, specifically, when using the door anchor. I need the bands to stretch out quite a bit, and I sometimes don't have enough space.

  • When I use the resistance bands with my bare hands, and without the handles, I find there is a lot of pressure on my palm area, and fingers. I had to purchase gloves so that they would relieve some of the friction from my hands as I do exercises.

  • When I first got the resistance bands the latex smell is very strong. It has toned down but something I didn't expect.

Hi all, here is 20 seconds on, 20 seconds rest workout timer. Of course, I'm not a professional, please seek out your local physician before doing any exercise.

Hi all, I created a workout time on my iMovie, it's 40 seconds on, 30 seconds off. May be useful for your workouts. I use this timer with my resistance bands to gain core strength for walking longer distances.

Of course, I'm not a professional, please consult your physician when doing exercise.

The Polygon resistance bands have been working out so far.  I purchased a second pair and gave my old bands to my sister, who had some problems with her elbow after lifting free weights.

Hey what's up, Ryan here. Well, it's been just over a month now using these Polygon resistance bands.

More specifically, I've been using the Red band and the black band for my workouts. I've yet to go to the heavier resistance bands at this point.

And, so far, they've been doing spectacular, there have been no snaps or breaks at all. I have been using them for several core exercises.

The Undersun gloves I purchased have also helped quite a bit. There is an extra layer of material between the thumb and the pointing finger that really helps when the resistance band is at its full contraction, and it doesn't bother my hand as much.

Okay, so, as for the optional handles you can use, the only difference I've done from my video is, I take the actual handle and I loop it through the band.

But, after a couple tries, I noticed that it's easier just to slide the band through the loop, and then basically knot the band through the loop not knot the handle through the loop.

Oh boy, that's a bit of a tongue twister, I hope that makes sense.

Overall, I'm very pleased with the purchase they're holding up okay.

Hi all, it's been a few weeks now and the Polygon resistance bands are doing fine. I did purchase gloves specifically made for resistance bands because, after a while, my hands were getting stressed as the tension increased.
