Hey what's up all, Ryan here, well, today I thought we could look over this new pair of shoes I bought which are called the ASICS Gel Excite 7s.
This is a men's running shoe that I purchased for just walking on my treadmill.
Let's briefly talk about pricing and shipping, all in, this cost me about $105 bucks Canadian. I went directly to the Asics website and I purchased it.
I was a little bit wary at first because I was not sure about the return policy, but looking through the website at the time of this video, ASICS was offering postage paid (Return) if the shoe did not fit accordingly.
If I were to do a quick comparison between the ASICS Gel Excite 7's and my older pair which was the ASICS Kayano 23 gel. I would say the Kayano 23 gels actually have more cushioning than the ASICS Gel Excite 7's. The arch area also has a little bit more support in the ASICS Kayano 23 gels.
Going now a little bit more specifically to the toe box area, again it was a little bit snug because of the socks, but no discomfort.
The tongue of the shoe was fine, it wasn't too long where it was digging into the skin.
Finally, the areas around the socks were also very comfortable.
In conclusion, I would say that the ASICS Gel-Excite 7s have been good and comfortable so far.
The experience from the website was fine, there were no big hiccups or anything like that.
Shipping to the house took about 10 days or so, and overall, there were no surprises there.
In the long term, I'm going to do a couple more videos to see the progress of the ASICS Gel-Excite 7's. I know it's an older shoe, but hey, let's see how it goes.
Thanks for listening, I will now take you over to the features of the shoe where I'm reading some of the tech specs from the company website.
Okay, I'm just going to quickly read the tech specs and features of this particular shoe it has something called, AmpliFoam™ Midsole, engineered to maintain durability at softer densities, providing better flexibility, comfort, and platform adaptability ideal for natural running.
Okay, the next feature is something called, Ortholite® X-40 Sockliner. This premium sockliner features higher rebound properties while providing excellent moisture management and a high-level of breathability (Ortholite is a registered trademark of ATP Manufacturing LLC.)
And finally, here we have something called Rearfoot GEL® technology cushioning system. Attenuates shock during the impact phase and allows for a smooth transition to midstance.
