Are the ASICS Gel-Excite 8 AWL's Worth It After 3 Months?
In my situation, they are my most comfortable shoes for walking so far. Unfortunately, I didn't have a good experience with the water resistance. The intention was to buy the ASICS Gel-Excite 8 AWL's for the slushier months out here in Canada. But, they ended up turning into a summer-style walking shoe, or, for dry walking conditions.
How Water Resistant Are the ASICS Gel-Excite 8 AWLs After 3 Months?
Check out the video below. I take the ASICS Gel-Excite 8 AWL's through some snow and ice. Unfortunately, the water did get through, making my socks wet. So, in conclusion, the uppers are water-resistant, but the water got through just above the sole. Who knows, it could have been just my pair.
Would I Buy the ASICS Gel-Excite 8 AWL's Again?
No, but I would still buy from the ASICS brand. The ASICS brand has been overall an awesome experience.
