Fitbit Inspire 2 Is a Great Deal, but There’s a Catch

Well, Amazon Prime Day is coming up this October (2022), and there have been some interesting discounts on the Fitbit Inspire 2. Of course, all prices are in a constant state of flux, so, nothing is in stone.

In saying that, I got some concerns about how many updates the Fitbit Inspire 2 is going to get now. (From the date of this post).

According to the Fitbit Legacy Device Policy, when a product leaves Fitbit.com, there is about a two-year window for updates for that product, after that, things start to look grim.

I don't know if the Fitbit Inspire 2 is officially off the Fitbit.com site, but when that happens, according to the Legacy device policy, it would have about two years of updates after it's taken off.

So, Is the Fitbit Inspire 2 Still Worth It?

I still use my Fitbit Inspire 2 now, but I'm weary about the reliability towards the end of its update cycle. I'm not a fan of owning activity trackers that are no longer getting updates. The main reason would be security updates. I need those.  The Fitbit Inspire 2 is still a reliable activity tracker never the less.
